78Bernice Akwai Kaneakua, 84, of Honolulu, a retired Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility Food Services Department dietitian, died. She was born in Waianae. She is survived by son John N. Jr.; daughters Mailei M. Hamada, Ivory E. Stone, Gretchen L. Kamai, Coleen N. Westphal, Lucinda Kaneakua-Kovacic and Ilona U. Makanani; brother John Kia; sister Alma Souza; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Services: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Call after 5 p.m. Committal services and interment: 1 p.m. next Wednesday at Hawaiian Memorial Park. Aloha attire.
