73Walter L.R. Serrao, 74, of Hilo, an Army veteran, Kulaimano Elderly Housing manager and County of Hawaii Office of Housing and Community Development employee, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Lenore Van Gieson-Serrao; sons Gary, Richard and Stanley; stepsons William K. and Van K. Warren; stepdaughters Celeste K. Leach, Corrine K. Murray, Sharlyn K. Kelly and Lenise K. Warren; sisters Kelii Chavez, Dolores Ramos and Iwalani Levie; three grandchildren; and nine stepgrandchildren. Services: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Call after 5 p.m. Graveside urn committal services: noon Wednesday at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. No flowers.
