Masaru Haimoto, 84, of Papaikou, Hawaii, a retired Swinerton-Walberg Co. employee and Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Papaikou. He is survived by wife Maria K.; son Ronald; brother Tadashi; sisters Kiyono Yoshina, Shizuko Hohu, Yaeko Hose, Violet Sakamoto and Leatrice Muronaka; four grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Graveside committal service and burial: noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Aloha attire.
