83Dr. John Cummins "Jick" Mebane Sr., 87, of Hilo, a retired psychiatrist, physician and Air Force lieutenant colonel, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Colon, Panama. He is survived by wife Mildred H. "Midge," sons John "Jick" Jr. and Dr. Andrew H., daughter Julie M. Stipanov and three grandchildren. Private services and scattering of ashes held.
