78Bernice Ruth Aloha Kumalae McHugh, 76, of Hilo, a homemaker and former Kona Laundry employee, died at home. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by husband Patrick J.; sons Walter "Kimo," Lynn, Robert "Bobby" and Eric "Ricky" Dehmer; daughters Grace "Gracie" and Gail A. "Kaila" Dehmer; numerous hanai children; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Private services and scattering of ashes.
