WILLIAM S. TSUCHIDA

William S Tsuchida, 88, birthday February 12, 1922. Passed away May 08, 2010. He was an architect in private partnership, architect-engineer for the Department of Defense, then project manager for Sprint Telecom.

He was born in Berkeley, California. Lived in San Francisco, New York, London, Honolulu, Tachikawa Japan, Grandview Missouri, San Bruno California and Mililani Hawaii.

WORLD WAR II veteran, Jan 1942 - Jan 1946. Recipient of 3 Bronze Stars, 2 Purple Hearts, 2 Presidential Unit Citations and Combat Infantry Badge. Served as a medic through Normandy, France, Germany and the Austrian Alps with Company 1, 71st Infantry 44th Division New York.

Graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in Architecture. Engineering degree from the University of Missouri at Rolla. Interests. Avid photographer. Free flying model airplane builder and flyer. Jazz, classical and opera. Painting and sculpture. Classic car enthusiast. Participated in CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE in San Francisco, London, Honolulu and Tokyo. New technologies. Gardening, food, general carpentry.

Survived by wife Kimie T, son William Jr., daughter Leonora Mariko Jensen, son in law Brent Jensen - grandsons Lucas and Andrew Jensen. Five sisters in law, three brothers in law, numerous nieces, nephews and their families. He affirmed life with wit and humor.
