79James L.S. Young, 93, of Kailua, a retired stevedore and Ala Wai Boat Harbor state maintenance worker, died in Kailua. He was born in South Kona, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Karen S.; sons James Jr., Edward A. and Ronald L.; daughters Stella L. Kaneko, Pauline M. Tai and Florence L. Kakaio; brother Richard L.S.; sister Ella Tagawa; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great- grandchild. Private services.
