Emery “Grant” Story Jr., 92, of Aiea, a retired Navy captain who served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, died at home. He also was a commanding officer of the Naval Ship Engineering Center, Philadelphia Division, and Burns and Roe Engineering and Construction Co. vice president and master mason. He was born in Carthage, Mo. He is survived by wife Allyn R. Thompson, son Robert “Bob,” daughters Susan L. Mattingly and Carol Ann Short, sister Betty Ann Butterfield and five grandchildren. Burial: 2 p.m. Tuesday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. No flowers. Donations suggested to Pacific Aviation Museum, 319 Lexington Blvd., Honolulu, HI 96818.
