82Ernest "Ernie" Ramirez, 58, of Honolulu, a University of Hawaii carpet-cleaning supervisor and Air Force veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Karen; son Scott; daughter Kelsey; parents Severo and Juanita; brother Steven; and sisters Carla Venable and Shelley Karvas.
