WILLIAM WALT ANDERSON

Age 71, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away July 20, 2010. Born September 27, 1938 in Texarkana, Texas.

A devoted husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jane Anderson; his daughter Carson Lee and son-in-law Jarrett Lee from Raleigh, NC; his son Douglas Anderson and fiancée Stephanie Ko from Washington, DC; brother Philip Anderson of Little Rock, AR; and his extended family both in Hawaii and around the world.

After finishing graduate school at Thunderbird Graduate School for International Management in Arizona, Bill worked for Hallmark Cards International from 1969 to 2000. With Hallmark, he and his family lived in Manila from 1969 to 1980, traveled throughout the Asia Pacific region, and made life-long friends in many countries. After retirement, he worked as a consultant for Anderson International, LLC. An active member of St. Clement's Episcopal Church in Honolulu, Bill served on the Vestry.

He was a long-time member of Sunrise Rotary in Honolulu, a member of the Board of Trade West, Inc. in Honolulu, and an active volunteer for YO House, providing outreach opportunities to Hawaii's homeless youth.

Bill Anderson was an avid tennis player for most of his life. His smile and laughter will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.

Funeral service will be Tuesday July 27 at 4 pm at St. Clement's Church, 1515 Wilder Ave. in Makiki.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to: St. Clement's Church (for the food outreach program) or to The American Cancer Society-Hawaii Chapter.
