71Lester A. Rubenfeld, 69, of Schenectady, N.Y., and Hilo, a mathematics professor, author and founder/director of the Center for Initiatives in Pre-College Education and an affiliate faculty member at University of Hawaii-Hilo, died in Schenectady. He is survived by wife Alice, sons Dr. Joshua and Dr. Ari and three grandchildren. Private services. No flowers. Donations suggested to RPI Hillel, 800 8th St., Washington, D.C.
