CECILIA JEAN ROYLO SARABANO

Cecilia known to many as Aunty Ceil, lived and loved her life. Her home was always full of love, laughter, fun, and friends. Her door was always open at anytime, day or night, to anyone who was hungry or just needed company to talk. She married her high school sweetheart Raymond Sarabano and had three wonderful children. She graduated from Waialua High School in 1962 and was a well known employee of Jerry's Sweet Shop in Haleiwa. In 1967, she, her husband, and eldest daughter moved to Monterey, California where they lived for 20 years and had 2 more children. She worked for Dean Ishii D.D.S. for 20 years, moved back to Hawaii, and worked for Floyd Barty D.M.D. for 11 years, then went on to work for Kanemaru Dental group where she retired after having a stroke. She loved Jazz, dancing, doing crafts, decorating and redecorating her home. She was a black belt karate instructor with Kajukenbo Self Defense Inst., and danced hula for Halau O Na Maoli Pua, Kumu Alicia Smith. She loved being with family and friends.

Survived by Husband: Raymond Sarabano, Children: Desirae (Doug) Garcia, Marty (Sonia) Sarabano, Tracee Sarabano-Shaffer, Hanai: Myra (Bill) Weisskopf, Sister: Lydia (Les) Lunasco, Grandchildren: Raymond Douglas Kapunawaiakawailoa Garcia, Raechel Jean Garcia, Alissa Balmoja, Marley Jean Sarabano, Tyson Dean Sarabano, Kylee Kaluheaokapuakea Shaffer, Keana Kaleiawapuhi Shaffer, Kaden Lee Shaffer, Rianne Alohilani Malina, and Rayna Kekelia Malina.

Services at St. Michaels, Waialua on August 6 at 9:00 am followed by burial at Mililani Mortuary Makai Section C at 12:30 pm
