James B.V. "Jimmy" Gascon, 89, of Honolulu, a retired carpenter shop foreman for the Public Works Center at Pearl Harbor and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Lapog, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He is survived by wife Honorata "Rita"; sons Reginald, Garrick, Leonard and Brian; daughter May Tanoura; hanai sons Daniel Richardson and Clayton Mew; brothers Hilarion "Sonny" and Jose Gascon; sisters Ludy Inovejas, Mary Cordero, Dorothy Godin, Betty Manois and Rosalinda Pregana; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Tuesday at Borthwick Mortuary, mauka chapel. Services: 1 p.m. Burial: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Casual and aloha attire.
