BRUCE SHIGEKI HAMADA

Bruce Shigeki Hamada of Honolulu, Hawaii peacefully passed away on July 30, 2010 at Maunalani Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 18,1927. During his 83 years he was a standout athlete at McKinley High School. He worked at the Waikiki Surf Club on Waikiki Beach. He was a professional musician who worked with many acts and artists throughout his long career. He was the snare drummer for the Royal Hawaiian Band for thirty years.

He is survived by sons Randy Iwase (Jan), Bruce Hamada (Akemi), daughters Larrene lwase, Richie Hamada and Rissa Miyasato
(Kyle), brothers Harold (Lucy), Richard (Anita), sisters Nancy Ogino and Janet Hirata (Eddie), six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Bruce was loved dearly by his family and many friends during the good life he led. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation: 5 p.m. Friday, August 13 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m.
