Joseph Levi Cochran, a life-long sailor, champion racing skipper and international yacht racing judge, lost his courageous three-year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) on June 15, 2010. He was 70 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Renee; sons Joseph, Jr., Christopher and Matthew; daughters-in-law Kathy, Mary and Allison; and grandchildren Bobby, Kaysha, Amber, Alex, Maile and Ashton.
A Celebration of Life will be held August 21, 2010 at 4:00 pm at the Kaneohe Yacht Club followed by scattering of ashes on Kaneohe Bay and a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in
