David Hakuilua "Papalui" Paaluhi Sr., 66, of Waianae, a Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Shop 99 retiree and Navy veteran, died in Ewa Beach. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Gwendolyn Ann; son David H. Jr.; daughters Davidine H. Paaluhi-Paris, Sunshine S. Aiona, Azure Dee L.P. Kawelo, and Morgan A. and Vanessa M. Paaluhi; brother Adrian "Cha-Cha" Sr.; sister Charlotte "Nalei" Ruiz; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Friday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel.
