JEREMIAH ‘JERRY’ LALAU

“Humble, Generous, Kind and Loving”

Age 62 of Honolulu, passed away on August 8, 2010 at Queen’s Medical Center. He was born on June 20, 1948 in Vaitogi, American Samoa. Retired from the Department of Defense and Queen’s Medical Center. Jerry served in the USAF during the Vietnam Era. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Straub Hospital, Hale Koa Hotel and a resident manager for Allied Construction Inc.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Juliet Lui Faleafine Lalau and his son, Tefoa “LFJ” Lalau; brothers, Taumaoe (deceased), Taafili (Jennifer) Lalau, Andrew (Bernadette) Lalau, Richard (Carmen) Lalau, Adam (Debbie) Lalau, Allan (Jeanne) Lalau, Eric (Nita) Lalau and Ellis (Mia) Lalau; sisters, Betty (Lui) Schroeder, Fogavai Scott, Sisamoa (Paulo) Ah Sam, Fualosa Lalau (deceased), Misifeleni (Roderick) York, Anna (Gerald) Rosemond, Jane (Toma) Kalolo and Betty (Ili) Olo; mother-in-law, Felili Effie Paogofie Faleafine; aunt, Litia Tuialu’ulu’u; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary, service 7 p.m. Visitation also at the mortuary from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2010, service 9 a.m., with committal service 11 a.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe. Casual attire.
