Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary JOHN "UNCLE JOE" AUKAI KEKAWA SR. Age 92, of Waimanalo, passed away August 1, 2010 at Convalescent Center of Honolulu. Born March 6, 1918 in Wailuku, Maui. John retired with the City & County of Honolulu Refuse Department. He is survived by sons, John A. (Linda) Kekawa Jr., Bill K. (Grace) Kekawa II, William K. Kekawa; daughters, Mew Lang (Dan) Taylor of Texas, Miriam "Lily" (William Pinao Jr.) Kekawa, Jan (Bill) Palmer, Juliana Kekawa; brothers, Herman (Frances) Lowe, Lincoln Chang of China; step-mother, Katherine H. Lowe; step-brother, Eugene Lowe; step-sisters, Barbara Goree, Katherine DiPrima, Anna Pineda, Yvonne Hernandez; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great- great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation 9 to 10 a.m. Friday (8/27) at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Waimanalo Ward, Service 10 a.m. Committal service 1 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Aloha Attire.
