Walter Louis "Bull Dog" Fernandez, 83, of Mililani, an Army veteran and retired city refuse collector, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Paia, Maui. He is survived by wife Lahela K.; sons Louis T. and Herbert N.K.; daughters Jessica K. Cortez and Rebecca K. Cabasag; brothers Thomas, James and John; sisters Roseline Palos, Judy Akoi and Clara Panela; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at Borthwick Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Burial: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
