A graduate of Farrington High School Class of 1954. Retired crane and heavy equipment operator and proud member of Union Local 3. He is survived by wife Ramona (Cummings) Akau, son Danny (Darleen) Akau, daughters Danette (Sherman) Kaahanui and Jill Rodrigues, brother Samuel K. Akau Jr., sister Agnes Young, nine grandchildren, a great grandson, numerous nieces, nephews, pet Misty and an abundance of friends.
