Tony (Antonio) Pereira III
TONY (ANTONIO) PEREIRA III Of Honolulu, Hi. passed away while visiting in Bradenton, Fl., on Wednesday, 8/11/10 due to pancreatic cancer. Born in Oakland, and raised in Fremont,Ca.He graduated from the Holy Spirit high school, and attended Moloney college.He also served for four years in the Air Force. Tony was co-owner of the Midas Muffler franchise for the state of Hawaii. He was the son of the late Antonio(Tony) Pereira and the late Beverly Malaquias Pereira. He is survived by his wife, the former Jeannine Hippchen of St.Marys,Pa.,his brother Robert Pereira of Honolulu, and his sister Roxanne Pereira Mummert of Hayward, Ca.Also surviving are a nephew,Danny of Los Angeles,and neices Malorie Mummert of Los Angeles, and Lara Mummert of New York. Tony was an accomplished accordionist and had performed at numerous events over the years in the Bay area. He was an avid golfer,enjoyed traveling,sports, and was a member of the National Rifle Association, and the Honolulu Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to either the pancreatic cancer research fund, or the Tidewell Hospice foundation, benefiting the Venice Home Team and the Bradenton hospice, at 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Fl. 34238 The family received visitors at the Chapel of the Angels in Fremont, Ca.,at 12:45 a.m., Monday, Aug.23, and services followed at the Holy Spirit Church, and Holy Sepluchre cemetery.
