FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

KATHERINE “KAYE” MAUNAKEA STANG
KATHERINE "KAYE" MAUNAKEA STANG Katherine "Kaye" Maunakea Stang, 80, of Nanakuli, joined our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at His heavenly throne on July 20, 2010. She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 37 years, Glenn. She is also survived by son Ernest Keolakalani Keinath, granddaughter Me Hie Woore, sister Emma (Joe) Hoohuli of Nanakuli, and brother Edwin (Mary) Maunakea of Copperas Cove, Texas. Also surviving Kaye are her loving aunts and uncles Gertrude Le Bron, Judy Rezentes, Mary Ann Rasmussen, Peter Juhn, Carmen (Ronald) Staskow, Marie Ng, Isabella (Stephen) Hong, snd Betsy Hinau, Norman (Ruby) Maunakea, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and hanai family. Kaye was a loyal and enthusiastic member of the following organizations: Ahahui Kaahumanu Society, Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association (Unit 46 President), American Legion Auxiliary (Past Department President), Lualualei Lions Club, Red Hat Society China Rose, Waianae Chapter AARP, Waianae Golden Age and many others. Kaye leaves the earthly world a better place for having been here. In all her travels around the world she always showed the true meaning of Aloha to all she met along the way. Services and celebration of life will be held at Mililani Memorial Park Mauka Chapel. Viewing at 5 p.m. followed by services. All are welcome and encouraged to share as time permits. Attire is casual but respectful. Flowers welcome. Cremation to follow with inurnment and committal services at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) on September 9, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.
