81James L. Woodruff, 77, of Honolulu, a retired Hawaii Natural Energy Institute research associate at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, died at home. He was born in Winston-Salem, N.C. He is survived by wife Rosemarie, sons Daniel and James "Rusty," daughters Sarah M. Woodruff and Nancy Jeffery, sister Linda Greene and four grandchildren. Services pending.
