73Jose R. Gante, 99, of Makaweli, Kauai, a sugar plantation laborer, died in Hale Kapuna Heritage Home. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Carmaleta, sons Norman and Cullen, daughters Josie Addington and Angela Ramsey, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Tuesday at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
