71Alfred Medeiros Jr., 79, of Hilo, a retired Hawaii County carpenter and Coast Guard Auxiliary member, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by sons Paul and Bryant; daughter Allyn; sisters Margaret Conner, Dorothy DeCoito, Bernice Ragland and Evelyn Arbles; and a grandchild. Visitation: 8 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Papaikou. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire.
