Robert Cochrane Sylva, 87, of Honolulu, an entrepreneur contractor and an Army first lieutenant who served in World War II, died in Honolulu. He was born in Hawaii. He is survived by sons Robert C. Jr., Michael A. and Stuart A.; daughter Marily A. Badger; and three grandchildren. Graveside services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Oahu Cemetery.
