Charles Richard Tindle, 75, of Hono-lulu, a Princess Kaiulani Hotel executive chef and Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died at home. He was born in New Albany, Ind. He is survived by wife Phyllis P., son Charles Jr., daughter Tammy Awong, stepson Robin DaMate, stepdaughters Sandra DaMate and Debra Beyer, mother Mary Rager, brother William Rager, sister Jean Tamala and Mary Brewer, and two grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Inurnment: 11 a.m. Monday at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Casual attire.
