Joseph C. Lucas, 68, of Hilo, a retired Hawaii County Department of Public Works construction inspection supervisor and Navy petty officer first class, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Doreen Mae, son Noland, daughters Cheryl Tokihiro and Karen Lucas, sister Agnes Medeiros, two additional sisters and a brother. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. No flowers.
