81Leandro Paranada Sr., 86, of Hilo, a plant mill operator at Kohala Sugar Co. and Hilo Coast Sugar Co., died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He is survived by wife Esmenia; sons Leandro Jr., Edgar and Emerson; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation: 4 p.m. Friday at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home. Services: 6 p.m. Additional visitation: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass: noon. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire.
