Chogoro "Budd" Oshiro, 83, of Lanai City, an Army combat veteran who served in the Korean War and retired Dole Co. Lanai welder/mechanic, died at home. He was born in Haiku, Maui. He is survived by wife Chitose, sons Mark and Daniel, daughters Iris and Lynne, brothers Richard Chioshi "C.O." and Choroku, sister Doris Higa and two grandchildren. Services: noon Tuesday at Lanai Hongwanji Mission. Burial: 1:30 p.m. at Lanai Veterans Cemetery.
