Thomas Kalani Lopez Jr., 83, of Wahiawa, an Army and Hawaii National Guard veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Wahiawa. He was born in Haleiwa. He is survived by wife Katherine; sons Thomas II and Gerald Lopez and Richard Hoaeae; daughters Linda Salinas, Lorraine Farias, Alberta J. Rivera, Yvonne Magallanes and Betty Lou Melanson; hanai daughter Beate Lamm; brother Richard Spillner; sisters Irene Primacio and Maile Caban; 18 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, makai chapel. Services: 7 p.m. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
