Reginald Daniel “Danny” Camacho Sr., 77, of Kailua-Kona, a charter boat deckhand, whale and porpoise catcher for scientific studies by NASA and Sea Life Park, and mechanic at Montgomery Motors on Oahu, died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Barbara; son Reginald Jr.; daughters Doreen Emerson, Naomi Taniguchi, Dori Mullen and Rowena Carvalho; sisters Margaret August, Doris Texeira and Evelyn Kiyabu; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Celebration of life: 9 a.m. Saturday at Honokohau Big Game Fishing Club. Services: 11 a.m. Scattering of ashes: 2 p.m. Loose flowers welcome.
