Anthony Francis "Tony" Friend, 61, of Hilo, a Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Worcester, Mass. He is survived by hanai daughter Mayleen M. Martin. Graveside urn committal services: 9 a.m. Friday at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
