Joseph Richard "Dickie" Obina, 77, of Ahualoa, Hawaii, a diesel mechanic for the former Kohala Sugar Co., retired Waikoloa Land Co. grounds maintenance worker and Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died at home. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Alice; son Craig J.; daughter Allyssa A.A. Schneider; brothers Alfred, Edward and Gilbert; sisters Helen Faisca, Lucy Crivello, Mildred Obina and Dora Ziemki; four hanai sons; three hanai daughters; and two grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa, Hawaii. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Honokaa Catholic Cemetery.
