79David LeRoy Moniz Sr., 69, of Hilo, a mechanic at Slim Holt Hawaii and Budget Rent-A-Car, died in Las Vegas. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Leonetta; son David Jr.; daughter Teresa; sisters Elaine Ahu, Betty Satomba and Carol Luciano; and four grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire.
