Ira C. Byrd, 84, of Kapolei, a retired heavy duty mechanic at Barbers Point and an Army veteran, died in Kapolei. He was born in Aiea. He is survived by wife Dolores; sons Ira C. Jr., Anthony and Rick; daughters Catheleen Carne and Charlene Dela Cruz; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, makai chapel. Services: 11:30 a.m. Burial: 12:30 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
