David Alices, 81, of Honolulu, a retired curator of fish and mammals, died in St. Francis Hospice. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Deanna; son David Jr.; daughters Dovelynn Valenzuela, Darvette Abbate and Davedine Schott; sister Joanna Festa; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hawaii Kai Ward. Services: 10:30 a.m. Aloha attire. No flowers. Burial in Idaho at a later date.
