We miss you already
Martha LaBenz 1929-2010. Ohio girl until 1975 then moved Waikiki. Sold tours at Outrigger Hotels for 30 years. This year she worked until April, was active through June, then passed away in October. She had two husbands and four children. Second husband was Kalihi boy whose ashes will be spread with hers in the surf off Moana Surfrider. Bowler and card player. Played piano and violin. Vegetarian. Serious bus rider. Loved dogs, cats and just about everybody. She cooked for and fed the homeless at St. Andrews. She read to children at Waikiki Community Center. She was spiritual - a follower of Sai Baba, course in miracles, and a member of Unity Church, singing in the choir. She always, always, always wore pink. Nice girl. We all miss her. Services: Friday December 10, 4:30 pm, Unity Church on Montserrat Ave.
