Mildred Chu Char, 88, of Honolulu died in Arcadia Retirement Residence. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by husband Walter F., son Bruce, daughters Lisa Char-Smith and Cynthia Char, brother Wellington Chu, sisters Evelyn Leong and Winifred Fong, and seven grandchildren. Visitation: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Community Church of Honolulu. Services: 2:30 p.m. Private burial. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Char Award in Psychiatry at the UH Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
