Cornell Itsuo Shimamoto, 56, of Kailua-Kona, a drywall construction worker, owner of a recycling business and National Guard veteran, died. He was born in Kealakekua, Hawaii. He is survived by son Michael; daughter Alison; brothers George, Robert and Perry; and sisters Miyoko Mitsunaga, Rose Watanabe, Betsy Olores, Mae Dailey and Lillian Abe. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Saturday at Keoua Canoe Club in Honaunau, Hawaii.
