James Iwao Takahashi, 86, of Hilo, a retired crane operator for the former Hamakua Sugar Co., former Carmela Orchids Inc. employee and an Army veteran, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Kaala, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Hanayo, sons Don and Carl, and daughters Janet Segawa and Velma Kaneshige. Private services. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
