Frank G. Harast, 86, of Pahoa, Hawaii, a retired Walgreens truck driver, former frozen-food salesman and a Navy veteran who served in World War II, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. He was born in Chicago. He is survived by wife Catherine "Kay," sons Kenneth Gogots and Frank Harast, daughters Janis Willis and Susan Kinzie, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary chapel. Services: 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Scattering of ashes at a later date. Casual attire. No flowers; lei welcome.
