She is survived by sons Fernando, Willy and Rey; daughters Shirley Padilla, Cynthia Rabina and Arlene Castro; brothers Guillermo, Rufino, Emiliano and Alfredo Tropia; sisters Corazon Velasquez, Norma Castro and Anita T. ELLA K. A. CHAI

December 10, 2010, in the company of family and friends, Ella Chai, 90 years of age found comfort and peace in the warm embrace of God our Father. Her ascension into heaven was made in God’s love and the heavenly announcement marked by blowing winds and cleansing rains.

She was born to Xavier and Emily Kahiona Aloiau in Kaneohe, Hawaii, and her siblings Xavier, Matthew, Francis, Rita Chu and Cecilia “Cissylani” Ceballos.

Her life will be remembered as rich in God, family, love, forgiveness, and fairness. As a result, she built many life long relationships and will forever live in the hearts of those she touched; her three children (Dennis, Ella Leinani, Paul), ten grandchildren (Aulii Graf, Hone (Michelle) Stone, Lani (Steve) Kaaa, Tammi Oneha (Kimo) Collins, Kawika (Cathy) Brooks, Kepa Chai, Koa Chai, Malia Brooks, Puna Chai and Courtney Chai and ten great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends will celebrate her life on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Saint Ann’s Church in Kaneohe. The viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed at 11:30 a.m. by a Catholic Mass and burial at Hawaiian Memorial Cemetery. Aloha attire. No flowers, please.

Age 77, of Aiea, Hawaii, passed away December 3, 2010 in Kaneohe. Born December 19, 1932 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Barbara was a director of student activities at Radford High School and donor liaison with the LDS Foundation and BYU Hawaii. She was also the
first organizer of the Aloha State Games & member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Pearlridge.

She is survived by sons, Kevin (Jeri) Velasco, Ron (Anna) Velasco of Kauai; daughter, Kanani (Sylvester) Velasco Aloisio; brother, Clayton (Cheryl) Chun of UT; sister, Donna Mae Chun, Karen Cabana; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
