Libert E. Yap, 82, of Kailua, a retired Hawaii Air National Guard chief master sergeant, died in Kailua. He was born in Pauwela, Maui. He is survived by wife Roselani; sons Patrick "Ronnie," David and John; daughters Lorna Bick, Janice Napolis, Debra Taniguchi and Michelle Yap; brother Henry; sisters Margaret Louis, Catherine Casaquit, Charlotte Leong and Henrietta "Dutchie" Simmons; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Vianney Church, Kailua. Mass and services: 10:30 a.m. Scattering of ashes at a later date. Casual attire.
