Dr. Edward Y. Yamada of Honolulu, a physician at several Honolulu hospitals, an Army staff sergeant and member of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, died at home. He was born in Honokaa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Alberta; son Stuart; daughters Tanya, Monica and Trina; hanai daughter Kinue Miki; brothers Yoshitsugu Yamada, and Maurice and Thomas Iha; sisters Maureen Chong and Jocelyn Nishihara; three grandchildren; and three hanai grandchildren. Visitation: 2 p.m. Saturday at Oahu Cemetery Chapel, 2162 Nuuanu Ave. Celebration of life: 2:30 p.m. Aloha attire. No flowers or wreaths. No monetary offerings. Donations suggested to "Edward Y.
