Pauline "Patty" Shotwell, 90, of Honolulu, a Registered Nurse and wife of the late Colonel William B. Shotwell, USAF, passed away at home. She was born on April 10, 1920 in Mitchell, South Dakota and graduated from Nursing School in Mitchell.
She served in the U.S. Army Nurses Corps at Santa Anna Military Medical Center, California from 1943 to 1945. While stationed there, she met her husband William, who had recently returned from duty in the Pacific theater. Pursuing two of her passions, she served as President of the Hickam Air Force Base Garden Club and traveled extensively.
Pauline Shotwell is survived by her daughters Victoria Sutton and Cherrie Shotwell of Honolulu; son Charles Shotwell of Fairfax, Virginia; and grandsons Stuart Sutton of Honolulu and Andrew Sutton of New York City.
