Carlos Robert Buhk, 71, of Koloa, Kauai, died at St Francis Hospice, Ewa on December 30. Born in Sheboygan, WI, lived in Mountain View, Ca., and moved to Hawaii in 1984. At Title Guaranty of Hawaii, he was the architect of the Docutrieve System, and was instrumental in initiating the conversion of thousands of paper files to digital files at its Record Center. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lynette; son Ryan (Monica) of Koloa, Kauai; daughter, Laina (Jake) Maniscalco of Sunnyvale, CA.; grandchildren, Nicholas and Jordan Fregosi and Kendall, Kalei, and Makena Buhk; sister-in-law, Helen (Joel) Morris of Santa Rosa, CA; dearest cousin, James (Betty) Fischer of WI; and many friends and family in Wisconsin, California, and Hawaii. Private services to be held in Koloa, Kauai and Sunnyvale, CA. Arrangements by Borthwick Mortuary.
