FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Thomas Mahinulani Novikoff (Malani Boy)
THOMAS MAHINULANI NOVIKOFF (MALANI BOY) Of Honolulu and San Jose passed away at his home in Kaimuki on January 2, 2011. He attended Kamehameha Schools at Kapalama from kindergarten and graduated in 1999. He received his Engineering degree at the University of Hawaii Manoa campus and completed his Master of Science in Engineering at San Jose State. He worked as a mechanical engineer for BAE Systems in San Jose California. Thomas was an avid cyclist and an active competitor. For many years, he has been respected as a top rider in many races such as Tantalus Time Trials, Dick Evans Memorial, and Cycle to the Sun. While living and working in California, he joined a cycling team and continued to participate and compete in the cycling circuit. Loved by his ancestors, his parents Susan Carol and Thomas Mahinulani, sister Melissa Lehua, grandmothers Mildred Jenkins of St George Utah and Marmionett Magoon Kaaihue, hanai Auntie Charlotte Takemoto and family of Santa Cruz California, granduncles, grandaunts, uncles, aunties, cousins, nephew Riley, niece Jade and dear family friends. The family wishes to express their aloha to Princess Abigail Kinoiki Kekaulike Kawananakoa for her graciousness. Service on the lawn at Puu Ualakaa State Park (Makiki Round Top Drive) January 16, 2011 at 1130am. Donations may be made to American Cancer Society. Aloha to all of you who shared in his life.
