George Carl Schattenburg III, 77, of Makawao, Maui, an artist, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Mark, Richard and Aaron; daughter Lisa Schattenburg-Raymond; sisters Ellen Townsley and Marian Pickens; former wife Patricia Avery; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Scattering of ashes: 10 a.m. Feb. 13 at Hanakao’o “Canoe Beach” Park, Lahaina. Celebration of life and potluck luncheon: 11 a.m. No flowers or gifts. Donations suggested to charity.
