Born in Honolulu, raised in a dry and arid place of Nanakuli she was given the Hawaiian name of “Leilani” (lei of Heaven), a blossom of perfumed flowers, a name that would personify her in Spirit and Character. She is preceded in life by her husband, Rev. Samuel K. Kila, Jr. and hanai son Reuben “Billy” C. Y. Chun. Being the eldest of 9, she is survived by Sister(s); Helen P. Hoohuli, and Esther Keamo. Brother(s); Melvin Keawe, and Mitchell (Momi) Keawe. Two Sister in Law; Rev. Sally J.C. Amina and Ella Jane Escobar of Florida. 3 sons; Samuel (Nadine) Kila III, Kahu Victor (Angela) Kila, and Kahu Ivan (Sarah) Kila. 3 daughters; Annie K.
